The tenth edition of the Pulcino d’Oro has officially begun with an exciting European journey. Following Middlesbrough’s victory at Leeds United, which earned them a place on the roll of honor of the English tournament—now in its fifth year—alongside prestigious names such as Arsenal, Leeds United, and Nottingham Forest, the Trentino event made its debut in Portugal.
This year, the tournament’s European and regional journey will be even richer and more varied, with 14 regional tournaments across Italy and a special stop in the Netherlands at the end of March. The Pulcino d’Oro continues to grow and consolidate its prestige, promising entertainment and excitement for all participants.
The event will culminate in the highly anticipated final tournament, to be held from June 12th to 15th in Levico Terme, in Valsugana, Trentino, an unmissable opportunity for youth football enthusiasts. Increasingly international, the Pulcino d’Oro has established itself as a valuable footballing laboratory, involving numerous nations and teams from all levels, from professionals to amateurs.
The Pulcino d’Oro in Italy is ready to begin. On the weekend of March 15th and 16th, the Trentino event will stop in Campania for the second consecutive year, in Caserta, where the Real Sito will host 24 teams in what promises to be a high-level event.
A special moment also took place in Portugal, at the home of partner club Seixal Club 1925, where Benfica triumphed in the Portuguese edition of the tournament, defeating AA Santarém. Fair play, pace of play, and respect for the rules were the key elements of the day, demonstrating once again how the Pulcino d’Oro is an event that promotes fair play, both on and off the field. The educational and formative aspect of the tournament is one of its most valuable features, with children demonstrating the most authentic side of football through sport. EF Faro won the Pulcino Gialloblù, after a series of victories against Seixal 1925, CF Estrela and Casa Pia AC, confirming themselves as one of the strongest teams in the tournament.
The Organizing Committee has chosen to focus on the Pulcini category, a decision that is proving successful, giving young athletes the opportunity to grow through healthy and stimulating competition. The tournament format, which keeps all children involved until the final match, encourages them to fight until the very end for a trophy, strengthening courage, healthy competition, and self-esteem.
Partner Company Real Sito Caserta, with President Guido Ventimiglia and his highly qualified staff, including Sara and Federico Lamonica and Roberto Cappella, will host the 24 teams, creating an event that promises to be truly unforgettable, following in the footsteps of a tournament that provided so much excitement in 2024. The Open Sports Center will see the excellent Campania teams compete in what will be a triumph of color, joy, and positive values.
