The Pulcino d’Oro enchants: sport and show business from “Santa Lucia del Mela” to “Merano”

From Trentino to Sicily, the Pulcino d’Oro continues to be a true celebration of youth football, with stages covering the entire peninsula and conveying the most authentic values of the sport. Over the weekend of 2-4 May, the prestigious tournament sparked enthusiasm in two symbolic locations: Santa Lucia del Mela, in the province of Messina, and Merano, in South Tyrol, providing unforgettable emotions and offering a stage of great technical quality for young footballers. The Pulcino d’Oro is a project that continues to grow and, year after year, is becoming increasingly international. After thrilling England with Middlesbrough’s victory, the Netherlands with RB Leipzig’s triumph, and Portugal with Benfica’s success, the Pulcino d’Oro has also made stops in ten Italian regions: from Campania (with Accademia Dieci e Lode winning in Caserta), Lazio (with Ostiamare in Rome) and Puglia (with FC Andria in Bari), to Lombardy (with Universal Solaro’s victory in Milan), Umbria (Pontevalleceppi), Friuli Venezia Giulia (San Luigi Trieste), and Tuscany (success for Follonica Gavorrano). A journey rich in sport, passion and values, which now looks ahead to the grand final in June in Levico Terme.

Merano, technique and intensity in the heart of South Tyrol. Against one of the most evocative backdrops, the tournament brought talent, team spirit, and extraordinary organization to the Merano field, thanks to the commitment of partner club FC Obermais/Maia Alta. Unterland Berg won the Pulcino d’Oro after a thrilling finale resolved only by a shootout, beating Team Buga and Anaune Val di Non. A tournament played at a very high level, with spectacular plays demonstrating the quality present.
