Follonica Gavorrano triumphs at the first Florentine “Pulcino d’Oro” Regional Tournament. A success of sport, values, and participation. Under a warm spring sun, the splendid Giovani Fucecchio sports center hosted the Tuscan leg of the Pulcino d’Oro Regional Tournament on Saturday, April 19th, treating spectators to an unforgettable day of youth soccer, passion, and fair play. Follonica Gavorrano won their first regional title, putting in a brilliant and determined performance from the start, combining technique, enthusiasm, and team spirit.
The tournament stood out for the high technical level of the participating teams and the impeccable organization of the Giovani Fucecchio 2000 partner clubs, which ensured an event meticulously curated down to the last detail, both on and off the field. Not only did the young, budding champions shine, but also the most authentic values of sport: respect, fair play, and the joy of being together.
Behind Follonica Gavorrano was a tied trio of Folgor Marlia, Ramini, and Giovani Fucecchio. The Silver Pulcino was won by Venturina, ahead of Academy Livorno, Hitachi, and Pro Soccer Lab. The Bronze Pulcino was lifted by Tempio Chizzano, who beat Capezzano, Pontedera, and La Borra. Sporting Arno won the Yellow-and-Blue Pulcino, ahead of Tobbiana, Capostrada, and Pistoia Nord.
This event is part of a tour that has already touched numerous Italian regions and European cities: from Middlesbrough’s success in England to that of German side RB Leipzig in the Netherlands, to the victories of Benfica in Portugal, Accademia Dieci e Lode (Caserta), Ostiamare Lido Calcio (Rome), FC Andria (Bari), Universal Solaro (Milan), Pontevalleceppi (Umbria), and San Luigi Trieste (Friuli Venezia-Giulia).
The next event will be on April 25th in the Marche region, in Jesi in the province of Ancona, with the partner club Junior Jesina – Scuola Calcio Roberto Mancini hosting the event for the fourth time. Then, the grand finale of the 2025 Italian regional stages begins. On Friday, May 2nd, Saturday, May 3rd, and Sunday, May 3rd, the Pulcino will land in Sicily and Alto Adige, the following weekend in Veneto, and on May 17th and 18th in Emilia-Romagna. The event will end in Lavis, on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th May, for a symbolic embrace from all of Italy.
The journey toward the Pulcino d’Oro International Tournament, scheduled for June 12th to 15th in Trentino, Valsugana, with Levico Terme as the heart of the event, continues amidst enthusiasm and ever-growing participation. Once again, the Pulcino d’Oro demonstrates that children’s soccer can showcase the most authentic, pure, and beautiful side of the sport.
